Kigali or Krash

By Garry Friesen December 12th, 2009

Family & Friends,

I’ve been reading horrible history since I joined the Kigali project to produce a full college library for a new Bible college called REST (Rwanda Evangelical School of Theology), I’ve been learning about Rwanda.  This has involved histories (A Thousand Hills), DVDs (“Hotel Rwanda,” “The Ghosts of Rwanda”), and survivor stories like those of Fred Katagwa one of our students.  It does not seem possible, but now I’ll be helping to lead a team of eight students to minister in Kigali, Rwanda this summer.  We will be preaching in churches, teaching in schools, testifying in Kigali homes and ministering to hundreds of street kids.  We have been selected to represent Multnomah at the dedication of the new Bible college and the library which we are sending (actually Konveying).  Before we leave we are praying for a miracle, 15,000 books Kollected, Kataloged and Konveyed.  We are simply ministers of reconciliation sent by Jesus.  The Multnomah Kigali Konvey Team: Fred Katagwa, Alisha Vang, David Ingram, Fray Jones, Jenn Lampkin, Michael Martini, Noelle Schultzm Brandon Smith. It is nice being a part of something much bigger than yourself and watching God do more than we can ask or think.

Kigali or Krash,
