Hold onto Your Prayer Beads!
Dear Family & Friends,
Sometimes God answers with a “no” or “yes”, but sometimes “I’m going to do much more than you asked.” That is the story of the Kigali Kollection of books for REST Bible College (Rwanda Evangelical School of Theology). God just gave us book number 11,000. Yesterday those interested in going to Rwanda in June 2010 met. Yesterday the first 15 students were trained to print out the Library of Congress numbers for all 11,000 books. This is a dream come true for me. In 1978 I planned to join Byang Kato in Africa to plant a Bible college, but that year he died in a tragic swimming accident. Now over 30 years later, I’m helping to lead a ministry team to Kigali with African Fred Katagwa. If you think that a group of poor students cannot create a theological library of 11,000 books, fit them with a spine tab, an envelope and a check out card, then hold onto your prayer beads. Because just might happen as God does more than we think is possible. Actually, I don’t use prayer beads, but I’m learning to pray as big as our God. If God accomplishes this impossible task, we know what we are going to ask next. It is a little audacious to say now, but you will know the minute there are 11,000 books fully Kollected, Kataloged and ready to be Konveyed to Kigali.
